State Securities staff 'Wear it pink'

State Securities staff swapped their usual office attire and donned their pink garments – ranging from t-shirts and socks to hats, gloves and sunglasses – in support of the ‘Wear it Pink' Breast Cancer Campaign on Friday 31st October.

To really get in the ‘pink' mood, staff were treated to cakes from a local bakery specially topped with pink icing.

Everyone willingly donated at least £2 plus the money usually used for the staff monthly ‘Munch and Mingle' buffet was given. A grand sum of £300 was raised for the charity, which is the only one to fund independent breast cancer research throughout the UK.

Simon Mills, managing director, said, "We were glad to participate in this very worthwhile campaign. The team ‘wearing it pink' brightened the office, and some of the more unusual garments caused amusement for the day !"
